Carla Erba was Luchino Visconti's mother.Italian stage and film director Luchino Visconti(1906-1976) is considered one of the founding fathers of the italian neoralism film movement.He was one of the greatest international film directors that emerged from the post-war italian cinema.

In december Guido Taroni organized an exhibition "Sogni Sospesi,14 vestiti per 14 pareti" in Milan, he photographed 14 dresses of her elegant greatgrandmother Carla Erba.
